This stable and field shelter was built for our Devon customers for their needs. The brief was to build a field shelter for horses with a separate vetinary inspection and isolation area. It measures 24ft x 12ft.
The Stable and Field Shelter Devon is built from tanalised pressure treated timbers, with strong 4×2 framing and 19mm shiplap walls, the interior of the timber field shelter finished with 19mm ply kickboards. The roof has been constructed from plastic coated steel roof over waterproof ply, ensuring longevity and a maintenance free structure. The secondary front pitch was requested as extra weather proofing for overnight stabling of animals.
Finally finished with a heavy duty five bar gate and heavy duty hinges, with 4×4 uprights, in keeping with the heavy duty construction of the whole building. This gives a finish of 6×4 inch framing in each corner.
